#6 – LaGrange Turkey Trot

#6 – LaGrange Turkey Trot

If you’re someone who has been reading this blog you will undoubtedly notice I haven’t posted anything in a while.  The reason being is that I was locked out and it took me awhile to figure out it was something stupid I was doing.  But I’m back!

Race #6 was on Thanksgiving in LaGrange for their Rotary.  Run this race with my cousin Annette Zyck, which she ran great!  One interesting part was that it started in front of LTHS, where Karen and Steve went to.  Now, for those of you that know my family, while they went to LT, I went to the better high school, Hinsdale Central.  Not sure how those two have done so well in life considering where they went?!

The race was officially called Rotary Run 3.14 Pie.  So it was bit over a 5K.  They also gave out pies at the end but you had to be one of the first 750 people to sign up to get it.  Not a problem since I really don’t care for pie.

The course was mostly flat, except for a couple of rises.  Those did get me and I didn’t run how I wish I could of but the important thing is I finished.  My time was 31:07 so my times are going in the wrong direction.

Some great donations are coming in and I thank everyone for those.  If you would like to still contribute please click on THIS.

The next race is on 11/26 in Schaumburg for their turkey trot.
