Race #9 – Jingle Bell Run

Race #9 – Jingle Bell Run

In my last post I said my next run was the Rudolph Ramble.  Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling good so I didn’t go to it.  As fate likes to do, though, the run wound up being canceled anyways because of a lot of snow that morning.

So my ninth run became the Jingle Bell Run, which supports the Arthritis Foundation.  This one was pretty cool because it took off at Soldier Field.  It was a pretty cold morning and they had all of us in the United Club just before we went out.

This one was fun because of all the people dressed up in Christmas costumes.  Including one that was a present.  Also had Santa and Mrs. Claus there – they looked great!

This race day was the coldest yet!  Glad they kept us inside until the last possible moment.  In regards to the route I was actually surprised that it wasn’t completely flat.  I know I harp on that a lot but I would love to run one that is completely flat to see how I do.  I know, I know.  Stop complaining!

My time was 31:06.  That’s becoming a pretty consistent time range.  Let’s see where it goes from here.

Not quite sure what my next race will be.  There aren’t any over Christmas weekend so I’ll be looking out for New Years weekend.

Thanks to all for the donations.  If you want to give before the end of the year and get the tax write-off, click on THIS and the vets will be very grateful to you!

Have a great Chistmas!
